Something new is coming from GroPlus. And it belongs on every table.
We've spent the last few years building GroPlus around one idea: everything you need for the outdoor life, done properly. The braai gear, the furniture, the firelighters — all of it built to last and built for how South Africans actually live.
Now we're adding something different. Something that doesn't go in the garage or on the stoep — it goes in the kitchen, on the braai, in the cup, and on the table.
We're building a food range. And we asked our customers what to call it.
Why Not Just gro+?
The easy answer would have been to extend the gro+ name — gro+ food, gro+ braai, gro+ pantry. Clean, consistent, no explanation needed.
But gro+ has its own identity. The eco-balls, the firelighters, the Build·Grow·Prosper ethos — that's a world we've built carefully, and we didn't want to blur it. The food range needed to feel like GroPlus DNA without being grafted onto something that already has its own meaning.
So we put it to our community. We wanted something coined, ownable, and memorable — something you'd remember after hearing it once. Something that felt unmistakably GroPlus, but stood on its own.

It's a play on GroPlus — and our customers picked it. Unique, fun, impossible to confuse with anything else, and it makes you ask what it means. Now you know.

What Is Gropples?
Gropples is a proudly SA food and lifestyle range built around the moments that matter most — the braai, the potjie, the morning coffee, the stoep, the gathering. It starts with seasonings and rubs, because that's where we live. But the vision is bigger: hot sauce, biltong, coffee, condiments and more. A full SA food range, built one great product at a time.
It's not just about what goes on the meat. It's about everything that makes a good South African moment — from the first cup of the morning to the last braaibroodjie of the night.
We're not rushing it. Every product that carries the Gropples name will be worth carrying it.
